MECHANICAL ENGINEER needed for a TEN MONTH CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Kennedy Space Center, FL.
THE BIG PICTURE - Top Skills You Should Possess:
- BS DEGREE REQUIRED.
- Experience with design processes.
- Experience with Mechanical and/or Structural system and sub-system products such fixed platforms, movable/portable platforms, access systems, lifting systems, transportation and shipping containers, pneumatic and fluid transmission systems, flight mechanism, Mechanical Ground Support Equipment, and Special Tooling to include drill plates, drill guides.
- Must have a complete understanding of structural fabrication processes to include machine shop capabilities.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Support the design, analysis, FFMEA's, fabrication, maintenance to include proof loads and calibration, verification/validation, transportation and delivery, sustaining engineering, and supporting data in close coordination with the Special Tooling Engineering Manager.
- Project management to include cost and schedule performance focused on Customer value.
- System level maintenance to include periodic proof loads, inspections, calibration, and necessary Test/Performance Procedure requirements.
What You Need to Bring to the Table:
- Four year degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
- Experience with design processes.
- Mechanical and/or Structural system and sub-system products such fixed platforms, movable/portable platforms, access systems, lifting systems, transportation and shipping containers, pneumatic and fluid transmission systems, flight mechanism, Mechanical Ground Support Equipment, and Special Tooling to include drill plates, drill guides.
- Must have a complete understanding of structural fabrication processes to include machine shop capabilities.
- Analytical. Understanding of industrial and governmental codes as they apply to Aerospace systems is desired. FFMEA experience is a plus.
- History of successfully and effectively managing a project from inception through, design, analysis, fabrication, verification, validation, and customer acceptance testing. Exceptional communicator well versed in multiple customer interaction.
- Proficient in system level maintenance to include periodic proof loads, inspections, calibration, and necessary Test/Performance Procedure requirements.
