Mechanical Engineer Job

MECHANICAL ENGINEER needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Palm Bay, Florida.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Perform design and analysis tasks on complex mechanisms and structural design, including the use of composites and lightweight alloys, in a program team environment.
- Program support includes mission/requirements definition, concept generation, trade studies, design sensitivity/optimization studies, preliminary and final design, and assembly/integration and testing support.
- Candidate will be responsible for engaging with various disciplines including electrical, supply chain, quality, systems, program management and test personnel ensuring an understanding and appropriate hand-off of requirements, system interfaces, trade studies, design/peer reviews, design sensitivity/optimization studies, assembly/integration and test support.
- Candidate needs to have a strong work ethic and strong leadership skills with solid communication, interpersonal management and relationship building skills being a must. Candidate needs to have strong technical, analytical and critical thinking/reasoning skills.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Engineering Mechanics
- Six (6) years minimum experience in Pro-Engineer/Creo 2.0 CAD tool preferred.
- Six (6) years minimum experience performing design and analysis tasks on complex mechanisms and structural design, including the use of composites and lightweight alloys, in a program team environment.
- Analyze mechanical requirements to determine feasibility of design within time, cost and environmental constraints.
- Candidate should have working knowledge of: machining, adhesives, materials, military specifications, environmental testing, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing per ANSI Y14.5.

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Multi-disciplinary skills (SW & EE) is a plus.
- Use of software tools such as MatLAB and LabVIEW.
