MY DUTIES:

-Support the design group and collaborate with industrial designers, user experience experts and engineers
-Engineer given design concepts for prototype making by optimizing the CAD data and giving advice to the designers
-Innovate and conceptualize and visualize engineering concepts, based on the design intent and customer needs
-Create CAD data that can be used by Asian prototyping / manufacturing partners
-Work together with internal engineers and /or external agencies when optimizing and finalizing design concepts to production level quality for manufacturing
-Coordinate and support local prototyping efforts (incl. occasional supplier visits)
-Contribute to presentations (most likely in MS PowerPoint) for documentation and communication of your work - these presentations will be used for communication between the design teams in different locations, but also to report to internal clients and management
-Bring in your cutting-edge expertise and relevant experience in mechanical engineering for complex product systems

MY QUALIFICATIONS:

-Solid working experience as a mechanical engineer in the field of consumer electronic products
-Good sketching and up-to-date CAD abilities required
-Experience in injection molding, die-casting and sheet metal manufacturing
-Ability to use ProE (CREO 2.0) as CAD software packages and being able to generate non-rational surfaces (like NURBS)
-Fluency in English
-Prepared for worldwide short-term travels and prototyping supplier visits
-You have worked on successful projects for well-known brands
