Mechanical Engineer

My Client, a large government department based near to Milton Keynes is currently looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join their projects team. Working on individual bespoke projects, we are looking for individuals with product design/external casing experience who can be hands on with the development of prototype equipment through the full manufacturing life cycle from selection of materials and designs through to final construction.

Experience required will include:

- Manufacturing Process including; Machining (CNC mill and turn), additive manufacturing, joining and forming
- Engineering materials including; metal alloys and polymers
- Finishing Including; spray painting and chemicalsolid modelling and detailing. System currently used is CREO (Formally Pro Engineer)
- Skills Including; electronic packaging and cable design, design for EMC & the operating environment and the application of BS8888 for engineering drawing and GD studied to BTEC HNC/HND or equivalent Mechanical Discipline

Contracts will commence upon the successful granting of security clearance, however the organisation are flexible on start dates through 2015.
