Mechanical Engineer

Yoh has an excellent one (1) year contract assignment for a MECHANICAL ENGINEER to join our client located in Madison, WI. This is a great opportunity to work for a world leader in engineering and innovation.

Job Responsibilities:
- This position provides mechanical engineering technical and project leadership in the Engineering group with a focus on anesthesia delivery systems.
- The position supports manufacturing, quality assurance, service, and compliance.
- This role requires the interaction with other functions and engineering teams in order to ensure product quality and meet production goals set forth by the business.
- Work with cross-functional team members and external suppliers to improve the quality, manufacturability, serviceability, and safety of our anesthesia delivery systems.
- Develop and implement product enhancements and creative design solutions utilizing design for assembly, design for reliability, and design for manufacture concepts.
- Investigate product field issues and implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Support resolution of production issues.
- Identify and implement cost saving opportunities that enhance or maintain the quality/reliability of our products.

Job Qualifications:
- BS in Mechanical Engineering.
- Pro Engineer/Wildfire 4 (facility will be changing over to CREO).
- Five (5+) years of relative work experience in the areas of Injected molded plastic design, sheet metal design, mechanisms, pneumatics, cables and harnesses, labeling, and packaging.
- Demonstrated 3D CAD skills.

Preferred Job Skills/Certifications/Knowledge:
- MS in a technology field.
- Demonstrated capabilities in thermal and mechanical simulation.
- Demonstrated program/project planning capability.
- Demonstrated project leadership and influencing skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Design for reliability experience.
- Agile- used as current PDM.
- Design for manufacturing experience.
