We have an opportunity for two Mechanical Engineers to join a highly successful and internationally renowned design consultancy firm on a contract basis. They specialize in delivering high-end design and technology solutions to a wide range of industry sectors, including the consumer, medical, industrial and cleantech markets.
Their staff of designers, engineers and scientists has grown rapidly to establish a world leading reputation for technical excellence, astute project management and thinking differently. They have repeatedly won international awards for innovation and design and have over 300 prominent patents under their belt.
The two Mechanical Engineers will join the company on an initial 3-6 month contract.
THE SALARY/RATE/PACKAGE/BENEFITS
The two successful Mechanical Engineers will receive:
- A competitive hourly rate of between 30 - 45 per hour

THE CANDIDATE
The Mechanical Engineers will possess:
- A highly competent understanding of thermodynamics
- High proficiency with fluid dynamics
- Past experience with thermal transfer
- Experience with designing, building and / or using test rigs

Experience with COMSOL would be an advantage, although this is not essential.

THE ROLE
The two Mechanical Engineers will be responsible for building and operating test rigs. Both engineers will perform data analysis / calculations in the areas of thermal and fluidic systems. The aim of the project will be to design, build and operate test rigs and also to perform calculations and modelling relating to experiments carried out.

It is expected that one engineer will take a "hands-on" approach by actively building and assembling test rigs, whilst the other will be more theoretically focused concentrating on performing modelling and calculations.
