Mechanical Engineer

Due to a continued period of growth, my client is looking to recruit a highly experienced Mechanical Engineer to join their team. It is essential for applicants to have a good standard of both German and English language skills.

JOB ROLE

The successful candidate will be responsible for new Crankshaft, Cam shaft, Crankcase & Bearing Caps second source release.

Duties will include:-
* Working with representatives of Sourcing, Logistics, Manufacturing, Design & Configuration to create specification and quality requirements for outsourced components and ensure traceability
* Working with the Validation Team to create & execute validation plan to prove product reliability is in line with expectations
* Completion of series release documentation

This is a 38.5 hour per week contract based in Austria and scheduled to run for the duration of 2013.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

To be considered for this role, an Automotive or Mechanical Engineering Degree is essential.
It is also a pre-requisite that you are eligible to work in the EU.

Applicants should have a minimum 5 years experience in the development of core engine components, a good working knowledge of Casting, Forging and Machining techniques together with knowledge of D-FMEA and DVP Creation.
