Mechanical Engineer

I am currently working with a leading drilling contractor who requires a Lead Mechanical Engineer to join their Aberdeen office on a 12 month contract which is likely to extend. You will be responsible for ensuring the Technical Integrity of Engineering Project Deliverables. The Lead Mechanical Engineer is responsible for overall direct resource management and competence of the discipline in respect of project work. Requirements: - Degree in mechanical engineering - Experience working with a drilling contractor - Experience in a project/engineering role and with an understanding of drilling operations - minimum 5 years - Experience with offshore modification projects - Experienced in engineering standards, rules and regulations for offshore drilling facilities This is an office based role inAberdeen, which may require some offshore work once a year for 1-2 days a typical working week will be between 40 - 45 hours per week. You will be working on system upgrades on rig reactivation projects and working with systems such as air compressors and mud systems. If this is of itnerest please apply.
