Mechanical Engineer

Mechanical Engineer required to work for a leader in nuclear power.

You will have worked previously in a building services consultancy environment, and have seen projects through from initial conception right the way to completion.

Mechanical Engineer required to carry out all aspects of the design, layout and specification preparation for ventilation air conditioning systems. Mechanical Engineer with Nuclear industry experience would be advantageous, however experience gained from a highly regulated industry is also of interest i.e pharmaceutical, naval, water treatment etc.

As a Mechanical Engineer you will have technical knowledge of sizing and selection of building services and HVAC plant, including pipe-work and valves, vacuum services, compressed air and chilled water systems, ventilation plant and ductwork, and associated equipment and controls.

Qualifications:
Completed a Building Services Degree with a Mechanical orient
Previous experience of working on Nuclear projects
Min of 5 years building services design experience
Knowledge
-Relevant Statutory Instruments e.g. Construction Design Management Regulations
-Relevant national and international design codes and standards
-Design, construction, installation, commissioning and maintenance practices/requirements in the context of regulatory scrutiny on a nuclear site.
