Mechanical Engineer

Junior Mechanical Engineer/Engineering Trainee is needed to work directly with the Mechanical Engineering Manager in Atlanta, GA. This is a 9-12 month temp-to-hire position. Local candidates only. Recent and new graduates encouraged to apply. You must have a BSME degree. Candidates with some construction or project experience preferred. but not required. Now interviewing!

RESPONSIBILITIES

- You must have solid verbal and written presentation skills, and demonstrate willingness to take initiative, solve problems, and maintain effective internal and external relationships.
- You will support the Mechanical Engineering Manager by estimating, evaluating and value engineering the mechanical scope of work for various projects simultaneously.
- Provide technical review of "Requests for Quotation" (RFQ) documentation, prepare RFQ and respond to Request for Information (RFI) from subcontractors and vendors
- Provide technical review of subcontractors and vendors quotations and equipment shop drawings/piping shop drawings. Comment on constructability of design as required.
- Coordinate work between Mechanical and Electrical/ Architectural/Structure disciplines

REQUIREMENTS

- You must have a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. Some experience in industrial construction/engineering is preferred.
- You must be able to read drawings, interface with consulting engineers, project managers, and architects.
- You must be proficient in Microsoft Project scheduling and with Microsoft products (e.g., Word, Excel, Office, Outlook) and internet use.
- Languages: English language is required and Japanese language proficiency is a plus, but not required.
