Mechanical Engineer

Our client is a leading consulting engineering firm and has an immediate need for Mechanical Engineers for a 6-month contract assignment in the metro Nashville, TN area. Responsibilities to include designing HVAC and piping systems for a heavy industrial manufacturing facility. Per diem is included for qualified non-local candidates.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Design HVAC system for heavy industrial manufacturing facility
- Design piping system for heavy industrial manufacturing facility
- Develop design drawings and specifications for building mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection systems construction
- Determine system types and engineer air distribution systems
- Maintain active design role throughout the design period
- Prepare and evaluate project construction cost estimates
- Interface with clients to discuss changes to designs and/or specifications

REQUIREMENTS

- BS degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 5+ years of experience as an engineer designing HVAC and piping systems for manufacturing facilities
- Be proficient in AutoCAD and Microstation
- Experience with various types of air handling equipment and air distribution systems
- Ability to travel to client sites
- Be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
