Mechanical Drafter Job

MECHANICAL DRAFTER needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Kent, Washington.

TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Knowledge of CAD systems
- Ability to prepare detailed working diagrams of machinery and mechanical devices
- Strong knowledge of design tools, principles and techniques

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Develop detailed design drawings and specifications for mechanical equipment, dies, tools, and controls, using computer-assisted drafting (CAD) equipment.
- Coordinate with and consult other workers to design, lay out, or detail components and systems and to resolve design or other problems.
- Compute mathematical formulas to develop and design detailed specifications for components or machinery using computer-assisted equipment.
- Position instructions and comments onto drawings.
- Design scale or full-size blueprints of specialty items such as furniture and automobile body or chassis components.
- Check dimensions of materials to be used and assign numbers to the materials.
- Lay out and draw schematic, orthographic, or angle views to depict functional relationships of components, assemblies, systems, and machines.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- High school diploma or GED required. Five to seven (5-7) years of experience required.
- Skills and Competencies: Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem solving ability.
- Team player and detail oriented. Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
- Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology.
- Knowledge of relevant computer application, such as CADD (Computer Aided Design and Drafting
