Mechanical Designer - Solidworks - Thames Valley - 6 months

A client based in Thames Valley is looking for a mechanical designer with Solidworks experience. This will be for an initial 6 month contract.

Role:
The specification, design and development of mechatronic products, meeting customer and business requirements

The candidate must:

Generate concept designs on CAD within the framework of each project, using suitable problem solving and concept generation tools and techniques.
Deliver detail designs and related data that ensure all customer, quality, time, cost, performance and legislative requirements are met.
Manage and document equipment projects through all phases of the equipment development process.
Implement products and parts in to the business through the ECN process, ensuring that all tasks are completed with due diligence.
Develop low level time and product cost plans for a range of technical projects. Monitor and maintain plans according to progress. Ensure accuracy of plans throughout the duration of projects.

Skills:

Mechanical Engineering experience
Design of mechatronic products, including plastic injection moulding would be advantageous.
Solidworks.
Design for manufacture
