Mechanical Designer/Engineer

A medical devices client of mine are looking for a Senior Mechanical Designer/Engineer to join their team in Leuven, Belgium on an initial 6 Month contract.

Some of the day to day activities and responsibilities will include:

1. Make proposals for technical problems and tasks with cost and timing estimation. Design the chosen concept. Detailed engineering so that the concept becomes a workable product.
2. Participate in design reviews.
3. Engineering products are designed according customer specifications.
4. Keeping design schedule within total project schedule.
5. Reports towards project leaders to come towards a correct solution within the given time frame and cost.
6. Gives input for guidelines, procedures and standards for departmental engineering activities.
7. Provide input on investments and machine engineering long term project plans.
8. Organise, coordinate and follow-up tasks (milestones, budget, ) related to new engineering products.
9. Support engineers and technicians.
