Mechanical Design Engineer - Staffordshire - 4 day working week optional

Amoria Bond are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer for a long term contract in Staffordshire.

You will be required to obtain SC Clearance so you must be a British Passport holder to be eligible.

There is already large design team in place but for this particular package of work there is no full time mechanical design engineer so we are looking for someone who is capable of working independently, is able to work on their own with a spec doing the calculations and design rather than waiting for work packages to be given out.

You will be given a particular part of the system and you will be responsible for the full design. There may also be some supplier liaison and visits but there will also be hands on CAD work too.

Ideally we are looking for the following experience:
* Experience in a Senior/Lead capacity and has confidence in own ability and decisions
* Understand manufacturing processes such as Sheet Metal fabrications, Welded frame structures, Machining, Castings, Pipework etc.
* Any experience with Enclosures, Sheet Metal, Electrical Cabinet, Electrical Boxes, Electronics Cabinet is ideal
* Aerospace, Heavy Industrial, Automotive, Defence industry experience
* Hand Calculations Experience
* Hands on Mechanical Design experience
* CAD Design Experience - Solidworks

The client currently operate a flexible working arrangement with 4 day working weeks offered to all contractors on site along with flexible working hours where possible depending on project requirements.
