Mechanical Design - Production - Autocad/Inventor

A client based in Buckinghamshire is looking for a mechanical design with AutoCAD/Inventor experience. This will be an initial 6 month contract.

Role:

The client is looking for a Mechanical Engineer familiar with AutoCAD/Inventor and production engineering Principles. An understanding/appreciation of electromechanical design a distinct advantage. Experience of preparing and validating build instructions will be required as will be an ability to work with the supply chain. A high degree of literacy is a must as are good communication skills and an ability to persuade others regarding a chosen course of action.

She/he must take a pack of manufacturing information from a third party and organise into a logical set of build instructions, transfer drawings onto new company blanks, organise purchase and build of the prototype machine, organise build, organise validation, prepare technical file and document build. Liaise with other engineers to validate supply chain and enter build details onto the company ERP system.

The project will start the end of July
