Mechanical Design Engineer – Munich (permanent role)

Currently we are looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer

What we are looking for:

A University education in Mechanical Engineering or a strong knowledge of Industrial Design and/or Product Design
3+ year’s professional experience in a hi-tech manufacturing company preferably from medical device, consumer electronics or audio sectors
Expertise using SolidWorks and CAD
Adept with consumer electronic reliability and testing standards
Highly familiar with DFx (Manufacturing, test, assembly) requirements
Excellent knowledge in all current manufacturing processes; Injection Molding, Sheet metal, Extrusion, machining etc.
Expert in highly cosmetic, ID centric designs
Experience working with Asian manufacturers and suppliers
Strong communication skills with the ability to work individually and as part of a team
Excellent time management skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects involving a variety of resources with defined deadlines/schedules
A can-do, hands-on, positive attitude is essential
Excited to travel up to 25%

What you'll be working on

Conceive, develop and build product designs
Design components to be optimized for design, functionality, manufacturing, safety and cost
Hands-on prototype development and fabrication
Assess designs for manufacturing and assembly
Liaison to manufacturing functions
Drive detailed part and assembly design and documentation
Deliver system level analysis of product metrics
