Mechanical Design Engineer (Motorsport)

Mechanical Design Engineer needed for a top-flight Motorsport team in the UK. As the Mechanical Design Engineer we are looking for candidates who are proficient in Catia V5 and ideally come from a motorsport background. The role will be based at their Northamptonshire facility (commutable from the likes of Northampton, Silverstone, Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, M1 etc.)

As the successful Mechanical Design Engineer you will require a proven track record within the following:

oExpert in the use of Catia V5 (any use of Enova systems will be an added bonus).
oUse SAP for design release and engineering changes.
oWork to a given specification and to own initiative as required.
oSpecify appropriate materials for metallic and composite components.
oDraw using geometric tolerance (GD&T) to BS8888 or ISO 2768 standards.
oSpecify limits and fits for mechanical assemblies.
oDesign both metallic and composite suspension members and their tooling.
oDesign engine installation items such as fuel systems and oil tank.
oDesign brake ducts, steering system parts, general rigs, fixtures and pit equipment.
