Mechanical Design Engineer Job

My client is a leading automation and conveyors organisation based in the Northampton area. They are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer for a 6 month contract. They are going through a very busy period and will need a candidate to hit the ground running over this busy period.

The main responsibilities of the role are:

- Developing and producing CAD models, drawings and other technical outputs consistent with the contractual requirements to meet target dates and budget demands
- Developing and drawing 2D diagrams, utilising the relevant toolset, to produce designs.
- Conducting 3D integration within the product model, and converting information from the Structural Engineers into a 3D model.
- Producing other technical outputs consistent with contractual requirements
- Providing and producing relevant calculations
- Producing drawing outputs from the 3D Model
- Performing self-verification of own work
- Producing Process Standards.

The successful candidate will:

- Have an HND or HNC in Engineering.
- Be a strong communicator and be able to multi task multiple projects.
- Have exoperience in machinery or automation
