I am contacting you with regards to an opportunity with one of my key clients who are seeking Mechanical Design Engineers, below is a detailed specification for you to review.

My client is a leading motorsport organisation who is expanding at a very good rate working on F1, motorsport and commercial applications within the automotive sector, they are now seeking skilled Mechanical Design Engineers to assist with their high influx of exciting hybrid projects and the F1 peak, below are some of the specifications of the role for you to review.

Day to day duties in this role

Conceptual through to production design for various high performance vehicle projects using Catia V5. You need to be capable of freeform surfacing, 3D modelling, drafting, teamcentre cad data management.

Powerpoint presentations might be required.

Jig & Fixture design using rapid prototypes

Need to be proactive in liaising with the build technicians and ensuring that you are efficient in solving problems which may lead up to complete redesigns - this needs to be done quickly and efficiently to meet strict deadlines.

Regular contact with suppliers is required for discuss the design and manufacturing process of the project - these would typically be telephone conference.

Automotive, Aerospace and Motorsport are the area's we would like to meet people from

Need to be able to integrate into the team quickly and have a friendly nature. Flexibility is required on working hours depending on the project deadlines.

Be prepared to accept responsibility for the designs you are creating. You also need to chase the designs you have created and be responsible in ensuring your design gets to the car.
