Mechanical Design Engineer

Contract

Role: Mechanical Design Engineer

CAD Package: SolidWorks (Must be Proficient)

Location: Liverpool

Duration: 6 Months (Rolling)

Pre-requisites:

*Minimum of five years experience in Engineering.
*Degree qualified in Engineering discipline or equivalent industry experience.
*Knowledge of pharmaceutical or process market products and services.
*Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both customer and colleagues).
*Current clean driving licence.
*Current valid passport.

Duties/Responsibilities:

*Prepare concise engineering specifications as a pre-requisite to design.
*To produce cost-effective designs, manufacturing drawings and related documentation from written design specifications using primarily ProEngineer/Solid Works and Auto CAD software.
*Discuss and resolve design related production problems with in-house manufacturing departments, sub-contractors and suppliers.
*Review customer or product management provided tender documentation and assess the compliance of company products to customers' requirements. To respond formally to the Sales Department, providing technical information on the degree of compliance and corresponding non-compliance.
*Efficient use of the company design facilities including adherence to any prevailing preferred drawing standards and procedures for electronic storage of drawings.
*Provide technical support to the Production, Validation, Service, Spares and Process Departments as appropriate.
*Reporting in writing SDR/FDS/HDS and producing FMEA and RCW when required.
*Knowledge of all current Industrial Standards and ensuring new directives are reported and met.
*Maintenance of accurate records of time worked on each project or other activity.
*National and international travel when required.
*Operating at all time in accordance with ISO9001
