Mechanical Design Engineer

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER to join our client in Rochester, NY.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Executes complex part design and detailed drawings using Pro/Engineer CAD software.
- Produce drawings to satisfy contractual requirements
- Process necessary documentation to support the build and evaluation of designs (ie P/Os, shop work orders, vendor interface, Bill Of Materials.).
- Support prototype build and verification where applicable.
- Perform worst-case tolerance analysis for simple assemblies.
- Receives direction from responsible engineer or supervisor during project execution. Contributes as a member of a project team and executes team direction
- Basic understanding of fabrication, finishing, and assembly processes. Able to research and interpret unfamiliar standards & specifications.
- Highly motivated person that is able to make sound decisions quickly.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. on a Full time basis.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- AAS in Mechanical, Drafting or Computer Graphics Technology
- Ten (10) plus years mechanical design experience and five (5) plus years of experience in electronic packaging required.
- Highly motivated person that is able to make sound decisions quickly.

PREFERRED JOB SKILLS/EXPERIENCE KNOWLEDGE:

- Knowledge of MIL Specs and design of die castings and molded parts is a plus.
