Mechanical Design Engineer

Mechanical Design Engineer/Solidworks/Oxfordshire

My client due to a member of staff leaving is looking long-term for a permanent member of staff but will take a contractor in the interim for initial 3 month contract.

Job spec below:

Role will involve following:

o Mechanical Design, modelling and drawings
o Modification, update and control of existing drawings/designs
o Design of frameworks, jigs and fixtures
o Design of pressurized pipe systems (water and gas)
o Design of hydraulics and pneumatics
o Design of electro-mechanical equipment.
o Factory and equipment layouts
o Support for the installation of machines and services
o Support to the operation and testing of machines
o Problem investigation
o Report writing
o Schedule development
o Supervision of contractors for any of the above
o Experience of the following will be an advantage:
o Solidworks 3D
o AutoCAD 2D
o ANSYS CFD
o Design of vacuum systems
o Special purpose machinery
o High temperature equipment
o Work holding fixtures
o Machining/grinding
o Ergonomics
