Mechanical Design Engineer

Mechanical Design Engineer South East Machinery Circa £35-40,000 Leading international manufacturer of bespoke test equipment seeks experienced design engineer to work on design and development of new designs to meet customer requests. The current vacancy requires someone who can take on the following responsibilities: - Produce high quality mechanical designs of new products to specification and on time. Develop designs using best practice processes and systems ensuring compliance with regulations. - To provide the R&D team with mechanical technical solutions - To work closely with product managers to ensure solutions are in line with market requirements, and internal and external customer requirements - To provide mechanical design solutions to the engineering team requiring work in 3D CAD SolidWorks, FMEA& FEA - Complete acceptance testing and provide hands in development testing of prototypes - Provide training and coaching within and outside the R&D/VTS team. - Ensure all product design is documented in product design and technical files. To fulfil this position they require an experienced design engineer with the following skills: - Engineering Design (Electro-Mechanical) to degree level - Ideally 5 years experience but minimum 2-3 years - 3D CAD experience ideally SolidWorks - Ability to work with customers - Good communication and language skills - Possible industry backgrounds include aerospace, racing, machinery and high technology - R&D focused with the ability to design from concept Interested?
