The Role-

Reporting into the Design Manager, the role of Mechanical Design Engineer involves Mechanical design of both existing and new products. Working closely with other highly skilled professional individuals from various disciplines across the business, this role will play a key part in leading innovation, improving quality, reducing cost and expanding the product portfolio. The role of Mechanical Design Engineer will involve all aspects of design from concept to pre production, plus design and upgrading existing design to improve product performance.

The Person-

The ideal candidate will be Qualified to HNC/HND or degree level in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering subject. Candidates with direct exposure to Inventor, AutoCad and FEA would be at a distinct advantage. A track record of successfully working within design to order / special purpose machinery type manufacturing businesses would be advantageous for this role. An innovative approach, analytical / problem solving skills and the ability to work successfully across an operation with several department are pre-requisites for this challenging role.
