Mechanical Design Engineer

Great opportunity north of Boston, MA for a Design Engineer with strong expertise in plastics design and engineering for a long term contract position!! Large global organization seeking individual with previous experience working with AutoCAD Inventor or Solidworks. This position requires a person who is quite familliar with the principles and the process of plastics design (snap fit, molded parts, etc). RESPONSIBILITIES

- Use AutoCAD Inventor to design single use assemblies and systems
- Develops manufacturing processes and test methods. Drafts SOP's and Test Methods
- Design and conducts experiments, collects data and analyzes results to guide decision making process
- Execute equipment IQ/OQ/CQ and product validations
- Plans, organizes and manages projects of significant scope

REQUIREMENTS

- BS in Engineering: Plastics, Material Science or related and up to 10 years experience
- Requires complete understanding and application of principles, concepts practices and standards pertaining to plastics design
- Knowledge of Plastics Engineering
- R Must be able to design and conduct meaningful experiments, collect valid data and perform accurate analysis
- Must have superior engineering aptitude with the ability to solve complex problems
- Competent user of MS Office, Project, Oracle, 3D CAD preferably Inventor (Solidworks okay)
