Mechanical Design Engineer - 6 months North West

Amoria Bond are currently working with a client based in the North West who require a experienced Mechanical Design Engineer on a contract basis with immediate effect. The role is expected to be run for 6 months but could potentially run longer for the right person.

The successful Mechanical Design Engineer must be proficient with Autodesk Inventor (ideally 3 years) and have experience with stress analysis (Ansys preferred) along with experience with hand calculations.

Our client is a leading designer and manufacturer of specialist rotating machinery. They are a global business who supply equipment across the globe and are currently experiencing an increase in orders, and require additional support in their design team.

The successful Design Engineer will have the following skills & experience:

-Mechanical Design knowledge particular experience in any of the following would be highly desirable but not essential: engines / powertrain systems / rotating mechanical machinery / compressors / transmissions / pumps / gears / bearings
-Knowledge of castings and / or machined parts
-Knowledge of AutoDesk Inventor
-Experience of calculations proving designs via FEA analysis, stress analysis, hand calculations.

On a day to day basis the role will involve assisting the engineering manager with current projects, this will including designing from concept through to manufacture.

The successful Mechanical Design Engineer must be a self starter in order to hit the ground running with the projects, also must be able to do multiple task due to the high volume of work.
