Mechanical Design Engineer

Our client, a leader in aerospace, manufacturing and other specialty technologies is currently seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to design and develop custom mechanical equipment used in a variety of industries using Solidworks. This position is located in the East Valley, AZ area and is a contract to permanent position. Our client is seeking only local candidates at this time and is looking to onboard in the upcoming week.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Design and Develop custom pieces of machinery using Solidworks.
- Perform the interface with other development partners and non-client contractors for the creation of key components developed to tight customer standards.
- Coordinate technology transfer to manufacturing operations. Priorities for this position are delivery of designs that are highly reliable using quality components.
- Hands-on involvement in all product phases from design to production & end-user support.
- Hands-on involvement in prototyping, manufacturing, & warranty issues.

REQUIREMENTS

- Candidates must have a BS in Engineering and 5+ years of Mechanical Design Experience.
- Candidates must be highly proficient with Solidworks.
- Our client prefers experience designing movable machinery, rotating equipment or Aerospace components.
- Working knowledge of mechanism dynamics and materials is required.
