Mechanical Design Engineer

A Fortune 500 energy company is currently seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer at Robinson Nuclear Plant in Hartsville, SC. This project is scheduled to last 1 year, with the possibility of extension. Local candidates are preferred, but per diem and mobilization / demobilization may be available for qualified candidates. RESPONSIBILITIES

- Support the Fukushima and site efforts in support of Fukushima analysis and implementation of the SBO (Station Blackout) results
- Create or revise SBO Analysis based on the changes from Fukushima
- Perform core uncover analysis given the conditions specified in the NEI 12-06 Flex Strategy
- Perform an evaluation of the impact of the loss of HVAC following an Extended Loss of AC Power
- Perform a Containment Integrity evaluation for an Extended Loss of AC Power
- Perform a design impact analysis of the Spent Fuel Pool Cooling System given an Extended Loss of AC Power

REQUIREMENTS

- BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Westinghouse PWR SBO Cooldown strategies experience
- Thermal - hydraulics calculations or analysis for both the RCS and Secondary that support SBO coping strategies
