Mechanical Assembly Technician/Technical assembly/Fitter

The client: Leading Aerospace design and manufacture of engine controls systems
The role: 6 month contract
The rate: £16 + shift uplifts double days 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm or night shift role 10pm-6am
The location: Birmingham

A mechanical assembly technician is required to join this world leader to assemble and test boxed control units, actuators and sub assemblies.

The Role;

This role will require a competent mechanical technician/Engineer to be able to read engineering drawings to technically build and manually test units, pumps, valves, actuators and sub-assemblies for use in aero-engine control systems.

The Person

The assembly role will suit a highly skilled mechanical technician or fitter who is very dexterous and a very keen eye for detail and experience with hand held measuring including micrometers, gauges etc.

Skills

*Mechanical Assembly Experience
*Interpretation of engineering drawings
*Use of hand held measuring tools including micrometers and gauges
*Technical build experience in a highly regulated environment eg)aerospace, nuclear, military or oil and gas

Commutable: Birmingham, Hall Green, Coventry, Telford and West Midlands.

Relevant technical products experiences: Valves, Actuators, Control units, Pumps and Vanes.
