JOB MISSION
In this job you will focus on two main goals. First is to design, maintain, and optimize production processes, and to adapt the processes to changed output requirements. Next to that, you will develop and apply methods of measuring the performance of the production process.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Your activities will be, among others, as follows: You will lay down operating instructions, process flow charts, routings, process parameters and indicators. Analyse the production process within Assy (our assembly department), Test and Install; point out structural problems and bottlenecks, work out suggestions for improvements and initiate their implementation, often in close cooperation with the surrounded departments as Development, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain and Customer Support. Contribute to the rapid solution of complex faults and take the necessary initiatives and practical decisions. Bring your knowledge to bear on (new) product development projects, in order to foresee production problems in the design phase and in order to improve the manufacturability of the product and test design.

EDUCATION
Bachelor or Master Graduate Physics/Optics/Electronics/Aerospace Engineering/Chemistry/Mechatronics

EXPERIENCE
Bachelor 0-7 years experience or Master 0-5 years experience in a production environment with high tech products and complex production processes. Experience in the field of Technical Manufacturing Engineering and quality methodology such as statistical process control and FMEA is an advantage.

PERSONAL SKILLS
Broad technical and business interest. Strong analytical mind and abstract thinker. Eager, Get-on and do it mentality. Active, plenty of initiative. Focused on quality, continuous improvement, good social and communication skills. Adequate English language skills in speech and writing.

CONTEXT OF THE POSITION
The goal of the sector Industrial Engineering is to industrialize products while development is ongoing, embedding industrial performance aspects (Cycle time, Manufacturability, Reliability, Cost) early in the design phase. This means thinking about the manufacturing environment (Factory and Suppliers), to the use and maintenance at the customer site, taken into account lessons learned from the past. The Production Engineering department within this sector introduces new products and corresponding processes from Development into (Volume) production (including the system installation and qualification process at the customer location), continuously adapts and optimizes the production and installation processes and provides support in connection with the organization. The holder of this position reports to the Group leader Manufacturing Engineering.
