Key Responsibilities - Job Description - Summary Of Work Required

Activities cover:

- Architecture for ClearPath and satellite systems (Windows, AIX, Solaris, Linux) infrastructure used by the ClearPath
- Architecture will cover all aspects like Computing, Operating System understanding, Network, Storage and Security. ClearPath covers both physical platform (Libra 8390) and Software Series (Gold, Gold Enterprise) running on VMware
- The Architect will be the main interface between ING specialists, the local UIS team and UIS Engineering. eg to define new in frastructure requirements, to discuss NFS, product roadmap and evolution, key UCF follow-up
- The Architect will also work in close relationship with the Service Delivery Manager and the Sales representative

ESSENTIAL

- Must be very confident, autonomous, self-motivated and have a proactive attitude with a desire and aptitude to pick up new domains of activities
- Must have very good communication skills and value the importance of teamwork
- Must have good customer manner as will be expected talk to senior internal stakeholders and clients
- Must have good synthetic and analytic skills
- A strong background and interest in ICT

Desirable:

- A background or strong interest in banking/finance would be an advantage

Key Skills - Specific Skills Required By Resource To Complete The Work

Technical skills:

- Very good knowledge of the ClearPath (architecture, OS, functionalities, features, ...). This is according to me THE base requirement
- Good knowledge of Open System techologies including hypervisor (VMware) to understand the complete environment
- Good network (routing, DNS setup, VLAN's, ..) and Active Directory knowledge
- Good storage understanding. EMC² knowledge is a plus (ING uses VMAX and XtremeIO mainly)
- Good security knowledge (Firewalls, Crypto processor, Multi-Factor authentication, User Access Management, ...)

Comments/Business Justification

WE CAN ALSO CONSIDER PERM PLACEMENTS. ENGLISH ONLY SPEAKERS ARE ALSO ACCEPTABLE. Presence between 8:00 to 18:00 every weekday (Mon-Fri). Coverage is spread in a team: some people start early and leave early (around 16:00) while the others do the "late" (until 18:00). DIRECT EXPERIENCE: 15+ YEARS
