Maths Teacher

A school in central Oxford is seeking a Maths Teacher to begin with them after the October half term. This is a maternity cover, so will be until April 2015, maybe longer.

The school takes pride in making sure that there is little distraction to GCSE year groups and therefore the majority of teaching will be in Key Stage 3, with some GCSE classes. In April a current member of staff is due to come back from maternity, however this could change and therefore the position could be until July 2015.

As the successful Maths teacher, you will be pro-active, confident in the classroom, willing to go the extra mile and be able to build positive relationships both with staff and students. You will have previous experience teaching up to GCSE Maths.

The Requirements:

As the successful Maths Teacher you will need to;
- Be a newly Qualified Teacher (NQT) or have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a PGCE, GTP or Bachelor of Education
- Have the ability and experience of teaching Maths to KS3 and 4
- Have strong classroom management skills
- Be able to deal with challenging behaviour and a creative approach is necessary
- Be able to use your own initiative and work as part of a team
