Materials Technician Job

MATERIALS TECHNICIAN II needed for a contract job opportunity with Yoh's client located in San Carlos, CA.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Performs the physical and administrative tasks involved in shipping, receiving, and storing of materials, parts, supplies and equipment.
- May perform the physical and administrative tasks involved in the distribution of materials, parts, supplies and equipment.
- Lifts heavy items and may operate a forklift.
- Prepares and maintains records.
- Applies acquired job skills and company policies and procedures to complete assigned tasks.
- Provides shipping and receiving support or parts or products.
- Follows SOPs and ensures compliance to regulations including FDA and safety.
- Performs receiving, initial inspection and storage for GMP and non-GMP materials under SOP control.
- Updates data in ERP.
- May initiate and maintain inventory control records.
- Loads and unloads materials and products on trucks and trailers.
- Interfaces with Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain Management, and Purchasing.
- Receives, stores, moves and issues raw materials and finished goods.
- Performs cleaning activities associated with maintaining the warehouse.
- Uses materials handling equipment including forklift for materials movement.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- A minimum of two (2) years of industry experience is required.
- A minimum of one (1) year of warehouse or manufacturing experience is required.
- Experience working in the Pharmaceutical or Biotechnology industry is a plus.
- Working knowledge of FDA and GMP requirements is a plus.
- Experience in computer-based systems including MRP is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail regarding documentation is required.
- Good communication skills both oral and written are a must.
- Must be able to follow Standard Operating Procedures.
- Excellent organizational skills are required.
