Materials Planner Job

MATERIALS PLANNER needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in ROCHESTER, NY

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Primary responsibility is ensuring the timely delivery of material to the production line.
- Expedites material through receiving, inspection and stock, to the line. Works closely with stockroom and VC stock personnel. Ensures kanban bins are set-up appropriately. Monitors shortage list to ensure hot items are delivered quickly. Manages common stock material on FF line.
- Create/print appropriate labels, toe tags, paperwork.
- Put replenishment scans through the system as material is needed on the line.
- Expedite parts with purchasing ensuring they reach the production line in a timely and efficient manner.
- Provide cycle counts of line material as needed. Understand system transactions in order to resolve discrepancies.
- Work with operations to resolve any straggler work order issues.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Stockroom, Operations and Planning knowledge
- Knowledge of QAD/PickPro/Freedom/Unicam/Agile
- High School degree plus 4-6 years of relevant experience or an Associate degree with 2-4 years of experience
- Minimum of 2 years materials experience, MS Office experience and working with internal customers
