We are looking to recruit for a Materials Planner for a 6 month contract role. Based in Rochester, you will be required to ensure the availability of material to an Integrated Manufacturing Team (IMT), in accordance with delivery schedule.

As Materials Planner your main responsibilities will involve:

Using the Advanced Supply Chain Plan tool to identify and release Planned Orders for Purchased and Manufactured items.

Ensuring Work Orders are serialised where required.

Reviewing, monitoring and clearing job shortages.

Transacting part replacements as required.

Reviewing and actioning Quality Documents as required

Reviewing and processing MRP exception messages

Monitoring and ensuring Work Order closure to maintain system data hygiene

Maintain tracking Work Orders through Shop Floors

Using all available reporting tools to supply information as and when required by the Integrated Manufacturing Team

Liaising with Procurement, Inwards Goods, Stores and shop floors

Leading work in progress annual audit for your Integrated Manufacturing Team

As Materials Planner your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

Previous planning experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment

Experience of using an MRP operations system

Good experience of using MS Office applications with particular emphasis on Excel, Access and Outlook.

We are looking for candidates with previous experience within a planning discipline coupled with a high level of initiative and problem solving skills.

Salary: £15,000 +
