Materials Handling Engineer

An immediate 3 month contract position for a Materials Handling Systems Engineer is required to assist in a techno-economic study to determine the feasibility of a full-unit biomass conversion.
3 Month Contract to start ASAP based in the Thames Valley

*Develop a rail transport, unloading, conveyor transport and storage procedure for circa 1.2 million tonnes per year of wood pellets, that minimises nuisance dust and prevents pellets from getting wet with regard to fire and explosion safety

*Evaluate the number of train paths and deliveries

*Support determination of necessary pellet storage capacities and select silo type

*Evaluate the possibility of using existing redundant unloading plant at Station

*Determine the design and location of fuel reception and storage plant

*Select a means for transporting the pellets from the point of delivery to the storage plant

*Carry out tech no-economic analyses of plant options

*Carry out a Risk Assessment and H&S Assessment of all options
