Materials and Process Engineer Job

SENIOR MATERIALS AND PROCESSES (M&P) ENGINEER needed for a long-term contract with Yoh's client located in Greensboro, NC.

THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Technical Writing experience
- Experience with composite and hybrid composite metallic structures
- Nondestructive Testing (NDT)
- Material Review Board (MRB) actions of Materials & Processes (M&P) discrepancies
- Physical and Mechanical Testing of composites

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Create, maintain, interpret and apply M&P specifications
- Review and approve engineering drawings plus composite design technology
- Create FAA material qualification test plans, equivalency test plans, and test results reports
- Directs material test programs
- Analyze statistical data from material qualification test programs and generate design
- Support MRB actions
- Support composite fabrication suppliers, test houses, procurement, and in-service aircraft

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering or Materials Engineering or other related field required
- Masters in Chemical Engineering or Materials Engineering preferred
- Ability to comprehend and apply FAA regulations
- Current or prior FAA Designated Engineering Representative (DER) for Metallic and/or Non-Metallic is a major plus
