Material Researcher

For our client in the R&D industry we are looking for Material researcher

START: 1-11-2016

DURATION: 6 months (possible extension)

LANGUAGE: Dutch

LOCATION: Venlo

You will be working in the Material & Device Technology Development department. This department focuses on the development of device technology and materials for the printing business. It's activities includes the complete path from research to releasing a commercial product into the field. One of the tasks at hand is formulating a new ink. This is a complex process, since the ink is subject to a large variety of demands. In order to strengthen the team, they have a vacancy for the position of Material researcher.

As part of a small (3 people) team, in this position the material researcher is responsible for the industrialization of an ink component.

Main Tasks:

-Industrialization of an ink component (material design) for an ink application.
-Testing the material in the application.
-Development of measurement methods/tooling to quantify and secure the quality of the material.
-Convert your finding into a set of requirements for a commercial product.
-Working together with the analysis department in order to map the results of above mentioned tasks.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Candidate has a BSc degree in chemistry

Work experience in ink, paint, coating and/or food industry is preferred.

Affinity with Material technology, material formulating experience as well as
experience in securing quality of materials.

To be successful the candidate is hands-on, result driven, independent, but also a team player

Candidate has good Behavioural skills both social as communicative

Candidate has profound knowledge - verbal and written - of English. Knowledge of Dutch is advantageous
