Material Handler Job

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a MEGASYS MATERIAL HANDLER to join our client in Austin, TX.

DURATION: Approximately 24 months.

PAY RANGE: $11.00 per hour for day shift and $12.00 for the night shift.

NOTE: 12 hour shifts working on an alternating schedule of 36 hours one week and 48 hours the next week. Day shift 6:00 am - 6:00 pm, night shift 6:00 pm-6:00 am.

Job Responsibilities:
- The MEGASYS® Material Handler will work on 8 or 12 hour shift without supervision, acquire a fundamental knowledge of Specialty Gas and Chemical Products.
- The primary focus of work will be on material handling and material logistics.
- Ordering, receiving, inspection, delivering, pickup and recycling are all aspects of the material handler position.
- The position will expand to bulk gas and chemical receiving and will include basic operation for liquid transfer set up.

Job Qualifications:
- Must be a strong team player and willing to work rotating shifts, on-call schedule, holidays, weekends or off shifts. Willing to perform physical labor which is generally associated with cylinder and drum movements.
- Previous forklift and pallet jack experience is desirable.
- A Fit for Duty Evaluation will be required: occasional lifting and carrying 25-50 lbs, frequent movements like bending, stooping, squatting, reaching above shoulders, pushing and pulling, exposure to changes in temperature/humidity and wearing protective equipment like respirator and ear plugs.
- The material handler will use ISO Quality Management and be able to communicate effectively using written and verbal skills.
- Basic computer skills are a requirement for the job.

Other Notes:
- Worker must provide a two hour notice prior to the start of the scheduled shift if he/she is unable to report. Ensure that worker asks and has at least two contact names and telephone numbers!
- Work attire: Jeans are fine (no shorts), shirts with collars preferred (polo's or button shirts)-nothing inappropriate written on them. Can wear t-shirts if they have Company's logo's.
- Contractor will be provided with vouchers to purchase safety boots, which they are required to wear.
