Material Handler II (4 Openings)

DESCRIPTION:

- The purpose of the Material Handler is to manage the handling of all production related materials found within the Production Materials Supermarket, Line Side Kanban and replenishment areas.
- This individual will be responsible for the proper execution of all associated transactions required to ensure material control, inventory accuracy and the corresponding movement of these materials throughout the facility.
- In addition, this individual will attend status meetings keeping all stakeholders apprised of the actual status of supermarket/kanban materials required to maintain production schedules.
- The Materials Handler will work with the Materials Team to proactively build up and deliver production material kits and related materials so that the production team is not impacted by material shortages during the manufacturing process.
- This person is also responsible for the administration of the Inventory Control processes.
- Furthermore, they are the point of contact for all materials issues (ownership) in their area and for keeping the organization aware of any potential threats that could delay the delivery of a Work Order to the production system. 
- The Material Handler will also be responsible for regular maintenance and report out of key KPI's as they relate to their respective discipline. 
- Manually or mechanically load and unload materials from pallets, skids, platforms, cars, lifting devices, or other transport vehicles.  
- Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas in order to ensure compliance with safety regulations.  
- Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock, and investigate discrepancies and adjust errors.  
- Receive, store, move and pack outgoing materials, equipment, and other items from warehouse. 

EXPERIENCE:

- 2-5 years of experience in position or specialization, 
- Undergraduate Degree or Equivalent Experience 
- Working knowledge of ERP Systems (Preferably SAP) 
- Flexible and welcomes change
