Material Handler II

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensures security and accountability of inventory through transaction documentation, process and procedure verification, and system review. Conducts physical inventories and cycle counts. Analyzes and when able, corrects cycle count discrepancies. Picks, packages, completes put aways and audits incoming and outgoing shipments to assure quality and accuracy. Compiles and documents all transactions for data entry. Performs a variety of coordinating, routing, and material handling duties to meet production schedules. Expedites parts to Remedy shortage problems. Picks up and delivers materials within and outside company and maintains records on material flow. May ensure incoming materials are properly routed. May monitor the flow of materials and parts between departments in order to meet scheduled commitments.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Expert SAP SKILLS (may be in multiple instances)
Ability to take appropriate steps to correct deviation from accepted practice
Expert cycle count reconciliation
Ability to train new employees
Cross-trained across multiple stockrooms within a plant
Ability to work across plants and stock locations
May create process documentation for review
Ability to interpret complex instructions
Ability to communicate intra- and inter-departmentally
Ability to effectively communicate with highly skilled technical staff
