Marketing Senior Manager - contract to Dec 2014, Glasgow - GLA0007S GB-Scotland-Glasgow

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and highly motivated marketer with a strong background in sponsorship marketing to create and deliver our Commonwealth Games 2014 sponsorship programme of marketing activities..

The successful candidate will need to fully utilise the marketing potential of the sponsorship to:

•Demonstrate EY's cross-border capability

•Create event programmes that will help build relationships with clients Build our employer brand and help generate employee pride

•Improve our profile in the community by supporting Scottish growth and our CSR strategy

•Fully leverage existing programmes, such as our Entrepreneur of the Year programme, and the Scottish ITEM Club

•This is a 1.5 year fixed term contract

Who we are looking for:

A highly motivated individual with an ability to work within a team as well as on their own initiative. The successful candidate must have extensive experience working in a marketing role covering all aspects of the marketing mix, with a strong track record in sponsorship marketing, in particular sporting events.

You will need to be able to effectively communicate with multiple stakeholders internally and across the business at all levels.

You will have a strong track record in delivering campaigns and activity with measureable and demonstrable results and outcomes.

Responsibilities:

•Ensure EY's brand and positioning is articulated in all activities to deliver significant uplift in awareness and favourability of the EY brand

•Develop and deliver a series of activities that will enhance relationships with key buyers and influencers and demonstrate our commitment to Scottish growth and the community

•Working with marketers in other areas within the business (strategic growth markets, service lines and sectors) to ensure that we fully leverage the project in all existing, relevant programmes and campaigns

•Engage with other EY practice areas to agree activities to demonstrate EY's global capabilities

•Work closely with Media Relations to ensure we maximise our exposure in the media

•Work closely with colleagues in business development to ensure follow up on all relevant opportunities

•Working closely with Internal Comms, create a sense of pride and excitement for EY people through all internal communications channels and leverage all opportunities available closely and drive key internal messages

•Lead and manage the relationship with the rights holder (Glasgow 2014) in relation to all sponsorship matters, building strong working relationships at all levels

•Demonstrate ROI for all marketing initiatives looking at specific measures including improved perception of EY, increased share of voice, enhanced relationships, opportunities identified, no. of clients involved in initiatives etc.

•Report on agreed measures for marketing activity on a monthly basis for inclusion in leadership report

•Manage the marketing budget providing relevant information to finance and regular and relevant reports to stakeholders

•Develop and leverage all case studies associated with our work

• Ensure all brand and risk compliance policies are adhered to in all relevant outputs

Key Success Measures:

•Delivery of plan to budget and all KPIs met and high percentage exceeded

•High level of engagement and participation of other EY practice areas

•Improved positive media results

•Reputation of EY improves against competition

•Improved pride measures in relevant Staff Surveys

•Excellent feedback from all major stakeholders

•100% brand compliance on all materials

Experience & Qualifications you will need as a Senior Marketing Manager

· Excellent project management and communications skills that successfully drive initiatives in a matrixed business environment · Track record of delivering large-scale multi-channel programmes in a b2b environment

· Extensive and proven overall experience in delivering events

· Experience in digital marketing gained in a large international organisation

· Strong experience in using insights to develop programme strategies

· A high degree of credibility with the ability to operate comfortably at executive level

· Proven experience of building networks internally to achieve business goals

· Excellent budget management and reporting skills
