Marketing Procurement Commodity Manager, Banking, London, 50-60k

A fantastic opportunity has arisen with a leading financial services firm for a Strategic Procurement Professional with extensive knowledge of the Marketing category to join their expanding team as a Marketing Category Manager.

Leading a team you will cover all areas of Marketing spend predominantly focused on the UK but with frequently opportunity to contribute across a global remit. Managing complex sourcing projects, you will therefore need to have some proven marketing commodity expertise across some of the areas including areas such as: advertising, primary research, secondary research including books and journals, event management including corporate hospitality, sponsorships and design and media.

Reporting directly to the Head of Procurement, you will be responsible for the existing team of buyers that work across categories.

Essential
-Extensive Marketing Procurement experience having held a position recently that focuses specifically on the marketing area of spend
-Excellent interpersonal skills and experience interacting with senior stakeholders, preferably internationally.
-Proven experience leading a team
-Proven track record of implementing and developing procurement and purchasing frameworks in a large, global organisation
-Ability to prioritize workload, and take initiative with important decisions day to day.

Desirable
- CIPS qualified
- Degree Level Qualification
- Experience in digital marketing
- Experience in professional or financial services
