Marketing Manager - York
Contract 6 months - £15-18/hour

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Marketing Manager to join my York based client. Following the secondment of the current post holder, my client is looking for a skilled Marketing Manager who can lead and take forward their marketing communications activities in support of the company's business development, and commercialisation agendas.

This is an exciting time for the client and the marketing communications team and an opportunity to make a real impact in the role.

You will report to the Head of Marketing and Communications and will work day-to-day alongside the current post holder. You will work closely with the account management and business development teams and will be responsible for supervising the Marketing Officer and Copywriter.

The role

* Plan and lead the marketing function, overseeing (task managing) the work of the Marketing Communications Officer, and aligning it with PR and social media activity;
* Lead on planning and implementing integrated on and offline marketing campaigns to promote the company's services, scheduled activities and projects to achieve targets agreed with teams;
* Lead on the development of the company's brand, visual identity and image library, ensuring compliance across the company and managing design with external agencies;
* Manage the redevelopment, design and production of marketing materials for 2013/14, overseeing the work of the in-house Copywriter and external suppliers.
* Act as the primary communications point of contact for the company's Partnership (account) Management and Health and Social Care teams;
* Measure and report on the impact of marketing activities looking for ways they can be improved.

The person

* Proven experience as a marketer/marketing communications professional, ideally with a background in B2B.
* Experience of planning and managing integrated on and offline marketing and promotional campaigns to achieve targets agreed with teams;
* An engaging and compelling on and offline copywriter (web, emails, SEO, adverts including PPC and print) able to support and develop team members;
* Able to digest a complex organisation and information and represent the company simply, clearly and persuasively, tailoring messages to different audiences;
* Organised, plans and prioritise own work and the work of others; motivating team members, and taking ownership for outcomes and impact;
* Able to engender the confidence of individuals and teams at all levels across the company and within external organisations and suppliers;
* Proactive, with new ideas and initiatives for improving service to clients and ways to generate revenue, measure and improve impact, and deepen the company's reach.
* A CIM or CAM professional qualification and/or a degree in a related discipline is desirable.
