Marketing Leader, Customer marketing - Zagreb, Croatia

Role Overview:

The Marketing Leader, Customer marketing is responsible for managing consumer, customer and merchant marketing activities, sponsoring and public relations related activities in Croatia and Slovenia in line with the area business strategy and corporate guidelines.

The scope of responsibilities includes consistent implementation of consumer related advertising and promotional campaigns in order to increase brand awareness, build brand preference, develop relevant products propositions for the market, increase card issuance and usage to reach business objectives. It also includes customer/issuer and merchant negotiations, promotional activities and mechanics proposals in the areas of card issuance; cardholder activation, usage and loyalty programs. It also implies collection and analysis of the existing market data as well as conducting specific market researches in order to put forward documented recommendations and strategy proposal.

This role will be specifically responsible for overall marketing, sponsoring and public relations related activities in the markets of Croatia and Slovenia.

Major Accountabilities:

Development of marketing plans in Croatia and Slovenia based on country marketing strategy and objectives.

Development of brand building and consumer education advertising activities through co-ordination of the local agency. Brief and manage the agency throughout project implementation.

Development of below-the-line promotional campaigns and offers in line with marketing objectives: choose appropriate supplier (agency), develop campaign idea, mechanics, and creative materials through coordination of the selected agency. Ensure top-quality implementation of campaigns.

Conducting post-campaign research and analysis to evaluate effectiveness.

Developing customer - issuer and acquirer, tailored marketing programs to increase brand awareness, card issuance, activation and usage.

Leverage Sponsorship platforms through national and customer-specific advertising and promotional campaigns.

Manage marketing budget: prepare annual and monthly budget forecast; control actuals vs. forecast accuracy; ensure full compliance with marketing budget spending procedures.

Manage customer and merchant marketing activities including negotiations, implementation and contracting processes.

Experience Required:

Working experience in the field of marketing for at least five years

Ability and experiences in overseeing multiple projects and initiatives concurrently

Business and budget planning experience

Project management as well as experience in product strategy and management

Business background combined with good marketing and finance perspective

Desired Skills and Education:

University degree in marketing, business or finances is preferred

Strong presentation, written communication, and influencing skills

English language fluency in both writing and speech

Strong negotiation skills

People management skills

Project management skills
