Marketing Executive - Corporate Events, Global Marketing & Corporate Affairs

Bank of America Merrill Lynch are looking for an experienced Marketing to work within the EMEA marketing and corporate affairs team. This person will work closely with Regional event manager for all Research Conferences.

Capabilities:
Has a strategic approach, with past experience in managing proprietary conferences is a must. With a deep understanding of the business, candidates will be confident partnering with and advising management on client engagement through our conferences.
This role requires someone with a natural ability to build relationships with key partners, excels under pressure and is a strong team player, has strong interpersonal skillsincluding pre-event organisation, budget management, onsite execution, staff management, senior management liaison, final cost analysis
o Manages all logistics on-site and is responsible for making decisions and ensuring the flawless execution of event
o Responsible for budget and timeline, choosing venue, negotiating with suppliers, preparing creative collateral, ensuring all events are within corporate guidelines
o Completes Marketscape; data integrity and budget oversight
* Serves as a strategic advisor and event management expert, proposing value-add event activity and direction around marketing initiatives and priorities. This includes working with the lines of business on the strategic objective and program plan for each conference
o Builds and fosters working relationships with business heads and internal clients
* Works as part of the Global Event Management team, working on broader event activity as required
* Strong executive presence, with an ability to simplify complex issues and propose high impact solutions.
* Proactively works to mitigate risk, as an enterprise control function
o Ensures events are planned within company guidelines and manages the risks associated with events to protect the brand. Proactively engages Compliance, Legal, Risk, Corporate Security, Corporate Communications and other key partners as needed
