I have an excellent opportunity for a Marketing Executive to work for a large Fast Moving Retail organisation based in Welwyn Garden City.

Marketing Executive
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Length: 3 months
Location: Welwyn Garden City
Rate: £negotiable

Our client is market leading retail organisation. They currently have a number of exciting roles to join an established and creative development operation.

Role Description
As an Internet retailer, the online customer experience sits right at the heart of our business and we're committed to making sure we continue to hire and develop the best talent in our industry.
Specifically you will be working as part of the Planning team, with responsibility for delivering day-to-day trade driving communication. You will work in a fast paced, changeable retail marketing environment and be comfortable working with colleagues on and offshore on with both short and long term objectives.
This role will best suit an individual who is incredibly organised, has a very strong attention to detail, can work well independently as well as part of a team and can manage and prioritise multiple tasks and the requirements of numerous stakeholders. Most importantly the successful candidate needs to demonstrate a strong customer focus and commitment to putting their needs first.
There will be an opportunity for the right candidate to expand their responsibilities over time to include trade planning, working to support the planning team in their wider objectives.

Key responsibilities/accountabilities
Reporting to Trade Planning Manager -responsibilities will include:

Inserts
*Owning the year plan for inserts, including leaflets
*Managing and prioritising bookings in line with objectives and other key trading activities to ensure that leaflets support business need and are relevant to grocery customers
*Setting up new products and completing the authorisation process, including barcode approval. Working with IT to have inserts added to the pick list in order to meet compliance
*Production and creative management (if required) for inserts
*Working with the logistics teams to ensure all inserts are in the right place at the right time
*Working with Operations to ensure stores are fully briefed and any issues are reported
*Continuing strategy for the inserts programme to make it as efficient (logistical and financial) as possible

Trade Driving
*Supporting the Trade Planning Manager - GHS in delivering the national trade plan for grocery home shopping, primarily via email
*Managing emails from completing briefs, including creative and data requirements to final sign off to deployment
*Raising eCoupons and tracking redemptions
*Forecasting email performance for the purposes of trade planning and budgeting on the quarterly live plan
*Interpreting analysis to understand how to improve email performance

National Promotions
*Working closely with the Web Trading team, national trade planning and marketing teams to deliver all national initiatives for grocery home shopping customers.
*Managing print and production of any dotcom specific elements
*Liaising with Dotcom Store Communications team to brief dotcom stores

Operating (Technical) skills, knowledge and experience required:
*Strong communication with the ability to influence multiple stakeholders
*Excellent attention to detail to ensure that all elements remain legal and accurate
*Strong project management skills with the ability to organise multiple projects at any one time
*Ability to manage suppliers to ensure all requirements and deadlines met
*Ability to evaluate different creative solutions as appropriate to meet communication objectives
*Understanding of creative, print and production processes and timings
*An understanding of financial reporting and the ability to manage budgets
*Some experience of email planning and delivery would be beneficial but not essential

Technical

*Ability to create and manage spreadsheets in Excel
*Good grasp of budgets and budgetary planning
*Ability to conduct simple analysis/reviews
*Awareness of online grocery competitor landscape
*The ability to resolve day to day issues and develop simple solutions to overcome difficulties and challenges. Investigating problems and queries resulting in timely fixes.

Key Skills/Experience and Qualifications required
*2:1 Degree
*Marketing experience with a strong customer focus is preferred
*Experience of working with creative agencies is preferred
*Excellent written and verbal communications skills are essential
