ABOUT THE ROLE

The role works across and manages a number of websites, ensuring accuracy and timely content is published on our external facing websites to the highest standards. The role also involves leading and developing new online initiatives involving all of UK websites. This will include all applications, including corporate websites and quote and buy systems, ensuring consistent messaging and onsite conversion.

The role also enables the successful candidate to play a key part in helping Ecclesiastical become a Web Enabled organisation and to guide future development of the business.

ABOUT THE TEAM

The role sits within a web, digital and campaigns marketing team of 9 within a wider team of 18 marketing communications experts servicing the entire company.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

To manage the development of the existing web capability of the Ecclesiastical Group.Act as an internal consultant, identifying, testing and implementing improvements with regards to usability and functionality of all of the Ecclesiastical Group websites.Manage, improve and optimise the customer journey and online customer experience, using A/B testing etc.Plan and implement marketing projects such as new online quote and buy systems meeting appropriate budgets and deadline in line with agreed strategy.Lead and manage key web development projects in line with the group strategy.Produce insightful monthly reports on website performance to demonstrate ROI.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

Graduate or be able to demonstrate that knowledge is at the required level.A proven track record of working within a similar web based/Marketing role.Understanding and experience using a CMS.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels, understand complex information and translate it into business requirements.

Planning and project management skills. Ability to work swiftly and manage a variety of projects simultaneously

The ability to build relationships with internal and external contacts.

DESIRABLE SKILLS

Proven ability to deliver web-based customer products, in particular close liaison with IT development teams.Proven ability to generate ideas and follow this through to implementation.Previous experience of web analytics systems such as Google Analytics.Preferred CIM/IDM post graduate qualification, or working towards one.

PERSONAL QUALITIES

· Experience of working within a Marketing environment.

· Ability to build relationships with the marketing team, IT, internal and external clients.
