Marketing Communications Project Manager (9-12 Mth FTC) - London - up to £35K and Benefits

THE COMPANY

Based in the hub of Central London - My client was established in 1936 as an independent charity funding research to improve human and animal health. It has an endowment of around £14.5 billion. The aim of the Trust is to "achieve extraordinary improvement in health by supporting the brightest minds", and in addition to funding biomedical research it supports the public understanding of science.

THE ROLE/RESPONSIBILITIES

- Provide effective communications for the brand in line with strategic objectives through integrated project management. Ensure that marketing communications engage with our audiences, add value and enhance internal partner's ability to deliver their priorities and strengthen understanding and support of the Trust.
- Build an understanding of core business, priorities and goals of the Trust departments we work with, so that these can be effectively communicated through campaigns and projects.
- Identify relevant audiences, gather audience insight and intelligence, devise appropriate multi-channel campaigns and explore and nurture partnership marketing.
- Anticipate, design and deliver marketing communications campaigns and projects for priority areas and provide project management support to team members as appropriate. This will see you working closely with internal partners to fully understand their priorities and plan targeted communications initiatives.
- Develop and provide innovative ideas.
- Act as a creative thinker that understands the broad goals of partner departments, and then develop innovative and efficient communications approaches to achieve them.
- Act as marketing communications leader of best practice and contribute to raising the profile of the communications team and presenting a unified and professional image to the wider Trust.
- Seek and implement ways of delivering 'innovation' into projects particularly with regard to digital marketing communications and partnership communications.
- Uphold the corporate identity in all communications activity and promote its effective application internally and by third parties.
- Maintain and develop relationships across the Communications department, the Trust and with external partners in order to facilitate, deliver and improve communications projects.
- Demonstrate value for money in choice and use of communication channels and suppliers, without compromising quality.

Please ONLY apply if you possess the following:

- CIM or other relevant communications qualification
- Proven experience (at least 3-4 years) within marketing communications, with some time as a project manager, with in-depth knowledge of planning and managing multiple concurrent marketing projects
- A passion for science/clinical research
- Proven experience in digital communications, including use of Adwords
- An outcomes-driven approach
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in audience segmentation using CRM/contact databases
- Understanding of audience research techniques and audience data.
